I have this photograph of my 3rd great grandparents. Unfortunately I only have a scan and not the original. I'm hoping to get a date range for the picture and any information their clothes might give about their status. I know they married in May of 1893 so I imagine it's dated to around that date. I'm assuming it was taken in Dublin as that's where they lived.
Also I'm not sure if it's possible to colour this photo but if it is I'd really appreciate any attempt! My own photography skills are non existent.
Thank you

My try and some colour for you.

I'm not very good at dating, but I think the ladies clothes and hairstyle look Edwardian.

These are fantastic! I wouldn't know where to start. It really brings them to life.

Regarding your dating request, I'm no expert but I'd guess that the photo could be at least a decade later than 1893. But my strike rate is only about 50%. ;D How old were they when they married? To me they look say 40-ish (her) and 45-50-ish (him).
Hopefully one of the dating experts will spot your request.

I agree with Pat and Peter, Edwardian.

Sorry, Pat, missed your dating estimate.

Thanks everyone for the colour images. They are brilliant. Frederick was 23 and Esther was 18 when they married in 1893. I know these kind of photographs would have been pricey enough, though not exorbitant. I was hoping someone would be able to gauge their "status" at the time of the picture. The last record I have of his employment shows him as a "horckery (sic) car driver" in 1911 so I doubt he was highly paid.

Look typically Edwardian to me.
Sorry - didn't see last couple of posts, so repeating what others have said.

My estimate of their ages a bit harsh, then, but I'd put the date right up to the time Frederick was a "horckery" driver. And, others may know better but I think what they are wearing is typical of what most people could wear as "Sunday best", so not easy to judge their status by their clothing.
