Looking for the family of my mother`s half sister Violet May Bertrum nee WARD who lived with her family in Armadale. Violet was born in Yorkshire, England on 27th March 1920 and died on 20th June 1999. She is buried in Bunurong Memorial Park Le Page Lawn Row 89, Grave 108.

Those wanting to help you need to know what you know from the beginning.
It is likely you have more than her birthdate and place, address, death date and burial place.
How did the half sibling relationship come about?
Which of your mother's parents remarried?

It may help also if you used her correct surname BERTRAM not BERTRUM.

Trying to trace my maternal grandmothers family who I think moved to Wales in the 1920`s from Yorkshire.In particular MARY WARD possible birth 1926.
Parents CHARLES and GERTRUDE WARD, siblings GEORGE MAURICE, DOROTHY,NELLIE and VIOLET MAY.
Charles` occupation in Yorkshire was as a groom at the home of the Mangin family from Sharow. The family may have moved to Wales with their employers. Charles later became a Chauffeur.
Looking for anyone who is related to Charles Ward married Gertrude Charlotte Blanchard June 1910. Three children George,Dorothy and Nellie born between 1910-1915. Fourth child, illegitimate, born to Gertrude 1917.Charles was employed as a groom at The Holt,Sharrow, Ripon and also served in the army in Palestine.
After viewing the original entry I think this is your George M WARD Mother's maiden name was displayed on the indexes from Sep qtr 1911.

Gosh IF these people were Violet's husband's parents, there would certainly be an age difference between Violet and him.
I have just found a number of public trees including one by the OP ::)
As Violet is interred at Frankston I did wonder if it would be worth the OP's time to search whitepages for an entry for a * BERTRAM living in the area ;)

Firstly my apologies for the lack of detail in my recent post and for the error in the spelling of Bertram[ the only spelling I had previously was Bertrum]. I had also forgotten!!! that Violet had remarried. Many thanks for taking time to respond so fully.
Looking back.
All the Ward family you mentioned were my mother Marjorie`s half-siblings sharing the same birth mother, Gertrude Charlotte WARD nee Blanchard. Marjorie was illegitimate and was put into the care of Barnardo`s so her half-siblings never knew her.
Some time ago having sent for Gertrude`s death certificate I was able to contact 3 of her grandchildren who still live in England. They were able to give me some details of my mother`s half-siblings including Violet`s move to Australia with her husband Albert Lister.
I understand that Violet had two daughters and it would be interesting to know more about them and their families if possible.

Although you have been reminded a few times, you have again mentioned the names of people who are possibly still living.
Australia's law protects the privacy of citizens and rootchat have a policy in place to reflect this.
You need to remove the names of the daughters.
