Hi,
I have just found
BASTARDY RECOGNIZANCE dated 2 August 1820. Mother: Issabella WALKER of
Crowle singlewoman. Putative father: Thomas MASON of Epworth. [LQS
A/1/453/10]
is there any way I could find out more about Thomas Mason, and was he the father to the other children that Issabella had.
thank you

Hi kitching;
Who did Isabella marry?
Were the other children you mention born before that Marriage?
Have you looked for Thomas Mason on 1841/1851 Census?
I did notice a Isabella Walker/Joseph Haller Marriage 1833 Crowle.

Hi, yes issabella married Joseph Haller, she had Mary, and Hannah.before she wed.
I have looked for Thomas a Mason on the 1841 census.
It looks like Thomas was Married when he was seeing Issabella.

Thanks for that, yes I see Hannahs 1831 Baptism in Crowle but you have 1820 for Mary but only Baptism I can see for her is 1826?
Sorry I am confused, you said;
I have looked for Thomas a Mason on the 1841 census.
Did you just mean Thomas Mason? or did Thomas Mason have the occp of a Mason?
I have looked at 1841/1841 Census for Thomas in Crowle and Epworth and also on FreeREG for him in both places, nothing conclusive I am sorry.
Hopefully someone else can help you.
Trish :)

Mary lied about her age, she had children from 1841 up to 1865, finally married 1867 to Mathew Dale, who she had been a servant to.
The only I formation I have on Thomas Mason is what I found, I have searched the census for him, but without more information I'm lost.
