I'm trying to get some information on my Uncle Alfred George (Ginger) Carroll. He was born in Cork City Aug. 8, 1910 to John Carroll and Annie Murphy who lived at 1 Barrett's Lane. This was my moms younger brother and was living in Cork City as far back as the late 40's.
Ginger stayed in Cork and worked in the Irish Post Office in Cork city all his working life. He married a woman Maureen and together they had one son, (*). I have no idea where he went or where he might be now. Ginger fathered another son in Cork who from a young age went to live with Ginger and Maureen and Tony. This is about all I have and I was told this by a cousin that has no idea where they ended up. Any Leads will be appreciated.

Just adding this to keep the family info in one place.
Is this your William Henry Carroll born Cork 21 Aug 1895
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1895/02199/1831129.pdf
Not with his family in 1901 but with them in 1911 at 1 Barrett's Lane
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Cork/Cork_No__3_Urban/Barrett_s_Lane/385487/
If that's the correct William looks like he died 1925

In the Cork district hospital, William Carroll, 1 Barrett's Lane, aged 29.
BTW Conscription was never put into effect in Ireland.
From a thread on the Armed Forces board, most of the thread is not related to this family.

Thank you! SolidRock the Marriage information is very helpful.
Great find Myluck! The 1902 and 1904 births are totally new and out of the realm of the census. I will check them out on irishgenealogy. You're correct about the privacy issue so the hunt continues for (*) and (*). ;) ;) ;) ;)
