Title: Pat McDaniel/McDonald 65th Regiment of Foot
Post by: Lixcas on Sunday 05 November 17 19:18 GMT (UK)
My 2x Great Grandfather was in the army from 9 Jan 1827 until 31 May 1841
I have a copy of his service record (I attach it for people to look at)
I know about his life before and after the army

It his time within the army I want to learn about
Would I be right in saying that he ended up in 65th (2nd Yorkshire, North Riding) Regiment of Foot? because Thomas Grosvenor was the general
There a record of him in Isle aux Noix, Canada in 1841 around the time he left the army I know he lost three fingers off one hand so that why he left did he also get drop two ranks because of this or was that what happen

Would I be able to find out what he was at between 1827 and 1840?

Thank you for anyone that offers there help

Have you looked at the rest of the images ?....the service record tells you he served in North America and the West Indies. And the years.
