Title: Civil Service 1890-1910
Post by: Findmyfamily9999 on Saturday 04 November 17 16:39 GMT (UK)
Hi,

My Great Grand Father James Jardine came form Scotland.  All of his adult document - marriage, death, census have his profession as gold coast civil service.  Does anyone have any information on what this is? or how I can find out more?

Thanks
Lynda

You can see the Gold Coast section of the Colonial Office List  at https://archive.org/stream/ldpd_11897910_003#page/262/mode/2up
Page 196 lists the establishment

Hi, do you have a relative in the British civil service around 1900?  If so do you have any suggested links that might help me discover more about my relative?

Thanks
