Hi, I have a question if both parents died in 1949 leaving 4 children, eldest 16 youngest 7, and some money that went to probate when would the children get the money? the probate says it went to the borough treasurer

the probate says it went to the borough treasurer
Not sure what you mean by that. When you say "probate" do you mean that there was a will and the borough treasurer was appointed executor? Or that there were no wills and Letters of Administration were granted to the borough treasurer ? Or something different?
If there was a will then there may be specific provisions covering who gets what shares of the estate(s) and when. If not then the laws of intestacy would have applied, and the money would have been held on trust for each child until they reached the age of 21.

It says 'Administration (limited) William Henry Williams borough treasurer.'
and it's taken from wills and administration records

That means that the borough treasurer was executor of the estate and therefore responsible for administering and distributing the estate according to the laws of intestacy. I'm not 100% certain but I think the money would be held in trust by the borough treasurer until the children turned 21, as that was the age of majority at the time.
