I have an Albert William Smith born Jan 1, 1887 in Doncaster England. He married Marion Theresa Nolan (born June 15, 2897 Leeds England). They were married in Durban South Africa July 6, 1920.
I am trying to find birth certificates for both Albert and Marion.
Marion does appear on the 1901 census at 41 Plum Street Halifax but the last name has been transcribed as Molan.
If anyone is able to help me I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Sharleen

Did you check freebmd? www.freebmd.org.uk
This is the only entry but would have expected his birth to be registered in the March qtr

Albert William Smith Doncaster 9c 691
Mothers maiden name was Ford per https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp

You can use freebmd to search for the parents marriages

There is an Albert William Smith, born Doncaster, on South African Overseas Expeditionary Force (Ancestry) who is 28 years and 9 months old on 7.12.1915. This does not fit with a birth on 1st January 1887, but more with the one that CaroleW found.
(He has a son Norman Albert and his wife has absconded.)

First marriage in 1910 in Durban to Isobel Crowther?

That is a good fit to being the right fellow. His marriage in 1920 to Marion Theresa states he has divorced his first wife (who was Isobel Crowther, whom he married in 1910.) (Images at Familysearch).
