The 1911 NZ death certificate of my ggrandmother,Elizabeth Anthony lists her parents as George Robbins and Elizabeth Robbins formerly Tavener.A copy of the latters death certificate (ie Elizabeth Robbins) reconfirms George as her spouse, married 25/12/1853 St Pancras,London and also gives her parents as Peter and Catherine (born Young); farmers.
From the 1841 Census I have found presumably the correct ancestral link as below:
Peter and Catherine Tavener living in Stoke under Hamdon,Somerset and (implied) children
Maria 20- 24
James 20 - 24
Mary 15 - 19
Elizabeth 12
Harriot 1
Given the age span of the family I suspect Harriot may be the child of Maria or James. Then I find the marriage of Maria to John Whitehead in Yeovil,1850 and that family listed in the 1851 census as:-
John Whitehead Head 33
Maria Whitehead Wife 33
Harriett Tavener Dau in law 11
Lewis Tavener Son in law 8
Mary Whitehead Daughter 10 months
However I am unable to find records for Peter and Catherine Tavener apart from the 1841C listing.
Would be grateful for any assistance for this couple. Surname variants differ between Tavener,Taverner and Taviner!!
Thanks for any leads

Burial Stoke sub HAMDON
09 Oct 1842 Catherine Tavener age 53

Adult ages on the 1841 census were (generally) rounded down to a multiple of 5 years.
Both Peter and Catherine have a stated age of 50 - meaning an actual age of between 50 and 54.
Both were born in Somerset.
Unfortunately, Peter appears to die in 1843?
