I meant to add to this post , my father served in Fleet Air Arm during WW2 as aircraft mechanic.

Another, though I don't care for how the hand turned out. I couldn't find any official pictures to match the colours to, but along the way I came across ranks. The emblem on his arm ranks him as leading air mechanic. Here is the site:
