Their photo archives only seem to go back to 1958 http://www.westmeathexaminer.ie however it might be a good place to contact and maybe see if you can get a request in the paper for anyone who knew your gran and/or knows about the contest for maybe has photographs of it

Would her local Church be able to help. I think it was custom to take group pictures of The service of Confirmation. I'm assuming she was at a Catholic Church.

Hi,
Regarding The Westmeath Examiner, it can be searched here https://www.irishnewsarchive.com/westmeath-examiner-newspaper-archive
(1882 -current)
It's a subscription site, but you may get free access through your library.
I've had a search(I get free access in Australia through our national library), but haven't found her. There are a few susan Giff's in the paper in the area( but not yours) and lots of Giff's around the area mentioned (Mullingar)
If she is in the papers she may be listed with just her initial, such as Miss S. Giff. I've tried" Beauty", but they may not use the term Beauty in the contest.
It maybe worth searching the above site if you are searching for Giff's in Mullingar as there seems quite a few mentioned.
I was lucky with a picture of my great uncle in one of the papers on the above site. He hit the papers(in the 1940's) and his photo was published along side the article
Kind Regards
Ps edited to add, looking at your other posts it seems that you are also tracing your grandfather's side (Gavin's)from the same area - so it may be well worth taking out a 24hr access sub(see Sinann's post below), if you can't get access through your library .

Hi again,
Do you have her birth?
There is a marriage for Susan age 19 and John Gavin age 17 on 21st April 1932 in Mullingar , Susan's father is a Bernard, a labourer (John's father is also another John, who is a tinsmith)
Then there is a birth for a Susannah Giff in Mullingar, 6th oct 1913 which looks very much like her to me , father Bernard , a labourer, mother also called Susannah, formerly Flanagan- plus a Margaret Flanagan who was present at birth ( who may turn out to be a relative)
Susan died 3rd March 1948 at age 34, so the October birth in 1913 seems to work out nicely.
