Good morning all,
Trying to help a friend track down the parents of of his Great Grandad, who looks like he was killed in Burma during WW2.
What we know so far:
Edward Hewitson
Born: abt. 1917 in Durham
Died: 09/09/1944 in Burma, India - Burried in Karachi.
Married
{Unknown} Bell in 1939
And had one child that we know of:
Christine Hewitson
Born: March 1944
He served in the Somerset Light Infantry, but we have no Military records for him. And the only records online that I can find, give no details of a partners name or parents name.
It would also seem if this is the right man, that he died without ever seeing his daughter (My friends Grandmother).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.
Unfortunately I just looked into that tree, and that Edward died in 1995. Looks like a very popular name for that area during the 30's/40's
