Title: St. John / Slattery
Post by: Lainie on Tuesday 02 August 05 02:27 BST (UK)
I am searching for any info on the following.
Julia St. John born abt. 1854 Tipperary.  She married William Mouat in 1874 (Melbourne).   Julias death certificate (Melbourne 1887) gives her mother as Maria Slattery and father as ........St John.

Hiya Lainie,

This site will help finding St Johns in Tipperary as well as Slatterys. I thought there were no St Johns but as soon as I keyed in the word John on its own and scrolled past the Johnson surnames I noticed a lot of St Johns. Griffiths Valuation of Ireland took place in Tipperary about the time Julia was born..1850-51 http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php

All the Best, Chris
