Title: Ancestors/Relatives- Stranorlar/Ballybofey
Post by: Scotland on Thursday 29 July 04 13:29 BST (UK)
Hi and good afternoon.  I am currently trying to find out some information on my Maternal grandparents/great grandparents.  I am in the process of creating my family tree.  Unfortunately I did not have the honour of knowing them as they died before I was born.  I am also researching info on my Paternal grandparents/great grandparents, who I believe came from Leitrim.

My grandparents were married 31/12/1896 in St Mary's Church in Stranorlar.

My Grandfathers name was Michael Gilmartin born 1872-73 & my grandmother's name was Mary Murray born 1872-73.  Her parents (my great grandparents)were John who was a Carpenter and Mary Jane Crawford. I know of two siblings who were Elizabeth Jane born 1877 and Mary Jane Crawford .

If anyone knows anything that may help in this search or who may be related please let me know.  Any info will be greatfully received and treasured.

Hi Slainte
I am researching my crawford ancestors but am at a brick wall with Irish origins. Jane and Mary appear quite regularly as family names.  Was hoping that there may be some connection with a john Crawford born ireland around 1818 and married Ann( born around 1826) look forward to hearing from you
