Hi Tracey,

Is it possible that your son's grandfather, born in 1938, is still alive? He would be in his late 70s, and there's plenty of Australians who are definitely still living and aged in their 70s.    Perhaps he migrated to Australia in the 1960s under one of the Migration schemes available at that time ?

I'm not sure if the others were related   otto came by ship in the 1960s he went back around 10 years ago.

I'm just trying to see if anyone can locate ottos family tree so that my son knows where he came from

Did Otto marry when in Australia ... if so, perhaps there's information about his parents on that marriage certificate?

This link is handy re indexing Western Australia marriages  (Oto seems to be mentioned there).
http://wamarriage.info/

This link gives information about accessing some of the recent registrations, including marriage registrations.   As Otto is deceased, his son may be eligible to seek access to the registration, although I think both bride and groom named on the document may need to be deceased.  Perhaps you could make an initial general enquiry over the phone?
