Just noticed that for today only (5 hours left till offer expires) that TheGenealogist are offering a free 1 month diamond subscription. I suppose it's similar to a free trial but double the normal 14 days.

Scroll down a bit and between the date and the article text is a box that says "claim your free sub here".

Two points from the T&Cs particularly worth noting
Cancellation of subscriptions must be made in writing (by letter/email) at least two weeks before the next payment due date. Cancellations will not take effect before the end of any minimum sign-up period.
All paid subscriptions (excluding pay-as-you-go) will renew automatically (unless cancelled, see above) to ensure you continue to receive the benefits of the ever-increasing range of genealogy data.

I managed to get this today. On the last page, instead of entering payment details, just click I do not want this offer and the free trial will commence without setting up a rolling subscription.

I had to put in my card details but as long as I cancel before the end of the month sub it should be fine.
Apart from this offer, what's so good about The Geneaologist though over FindmyPast?

Had a free trial with them a few years back. Really good census search as I remember - with big families able to enter several forenames leaving surname blank to bring up unexpected spellings. Very clear page images.
Only went with FindMyPast in the end as I needed 1939 register.
