Hello,
would be grateful if someone could help me,I am trying to find out if John Thomas May married again, his first wife( they were married 24 Mar 1834 St Pancras)  was Catherine Legg b abt 1818 London.  I know they had a dau Catherine b 1838 bap 15  Feb 1840 St Pancras.

There is an 1851 entry with no parents shown - all b ? Somers Town Middlesex

Catherine 13 dtr
William 10 son

A John Thomas May widower married Sarah Quinton spinster on 1.8.1852 St Saviour Soutwark.  Thomas's father was also Thomas occ Beadle

Hi the children depicted on the 1851 were all baptised on the same day, occupation of father John a Porter, in 1841 census:,

John May 25 occ Railway Porter
Catherine 25
John 6
Catherine 3
William 1
All not born in county
Residing at Rugby Old Station, Rugby
Census Ref HO107/1137/17/27 /8

The children in 1851 were residing in Fann Court, City of London, there is this death:-

Hi again, John Thomas and Sarah Quinton had at least one son:-

Thomas Edward May 12th August 1855 St Michael, Crooked Lane, City of London Father John Thomas May occ Labourer Mother Sarah address 3, Fan Court.

Thomas E can be found in 1861 onwards, and on the 30th November 1879 Holy Trinity, Newington he married an Alice Emily Cole

The 1861 census:-

Sarah May 41 Widow b Suffolk
Joseph 11 b City
Emma 7 b City
Thomas E 5 b City
Census Ref RG09/227/48/26

Can locate baptism for Emma but Joseph?

So he was the son of John Thomas & Catherine.

I have now found John Thomas  in the 1851 census as a patient at St Thomas Hospital, Southwark
states he is a widow age 36 so I think I have the right John Thomas.
