Researching my sisters line of McNie/McNee in and around the Clackmannanshire /Kincardineshire areas.

John McNee 1788 m Mary Higgins
son James McNee (McNie) 1788  m Jean Forrester  son John married M E Liddell  and then a line of Robert Donaldson McNie through to my sister

the name Donaldson runs through the names

any pointers, links etc would be most appreciated please

  I also have a McNie tree in my family though some of our dates and names differ.  My line is John McNie married Helen Higgens, their son James married Jean Forrester.

Children of James and Jean

John 1812 married Mary Elizabeth Little ( ? ME Liddle)
James 1813 married Jean Morgan(My line)
Ellen  1819 married William Annan
Robert 1821 married Janet Morgan.

James 1813 and Jean Morgan are my gg grandparents.
Maybe we have a match?

First born son of John and Mary Elizabeth Liddell, James Donaldson McNie, a river pilot (Forth) b.1835 d.1879 m.1861 Jacobina Clark and had 6 known issue.
JDM had 6 siblings; George b.1836, Janet b.1838 d.1922 m.1861 Alexander Clark, John b.1840, Jane b.1843 d.1910 m.1866 John Robertson, Robert b.1845 d.1900 m.1865 Margaret Drysdale, Mary Elizabeth b.1850 d.1896 m.1873 Samuel McGregor.
