Sadly my aunt has just died and I'm hoping someone out there has an old photograph of when he was mayor. I was in touch with a lady a few years ago who suggested back copies of a newspaper but I have lost her contact details and also have forgotten the name of the newspaper Craven something I think.
Can anyone help???

Why not ask the Keighley council if they have one?
-
thank you we will ask the solicitor if she can ask them for pic as we would like to put pic with death notice in local press.

The newspaper was probably the Craven Herald.

I agree with Crisane....The Keighley Town Council will have portrait photos past Mayors.

I've just seen a list of Mayors of Keighley from 1882 to 1973, under Bradford, - when some reorganisation took place, and I can't find a Dawson on there.... are you certain it was Mayor of Keighley? The paper would have been the "Craven Herald", but there's a really good local library in Keighley, where someone may well respond to an e-mail enquiry, and be able to help further?
