Might be something in local papers. Living at Tamnavelton when he died so you could start checking C. of I. graveyards in that area to start-

Thanks Rathmore but got no where with your links.
I should be in the Armagh site as family lived and Ernest died at Tamnavelton Laurlevale Co Armagh not Co Down as I have found out.
Nothing in Armagh local papers will try Portadown local papers.

national archives hold his medical card ref: WO372/3/171356
Have you been in touch with the Royal Irish Fusiliers?
on the find my past you have to pay for extra information.
-
Thanks Rathmore
I have all the details that Royal Irish Fusiliers museum had for C/Sgt Bunting.
No details in Portadown newspapers, local knowledge seems to think that he is in family burial plot in local church.
Regards
Joe

Thanks Rathmore I am nearly sure that he is buried in the family grave but no grave marker, the local church has burial records unfortunately the person who looked after the church records died recently. There is no mention of a funeral in local newspapers.
-
Have you ask any of the local papers to put a article in for you asking for information, I don't know if his records come under the burnt records. Did he get a Pension. When he died he would be a civilian.

Hi Rathmore
I have since found out that he is buried in family plot in church burial grounds, details in church burial book, have also been in touch with his family.
So thanks for your help.
