Title: The Layden Family
Post by: Carly287 on Monday 07 August 17 16:24 BST (UK)
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any details of where to find a baptism record for; William Layden, born between; 1826 and 1829, Sligo, Ireland please? I know it will probably be difficult, due to there not being many irish records available. Thanks, Carly

http://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/tithe-applotment-books.html

Link explains about Tithes.  See column on the right for info about defaulters.   It would seem from this that no list for Co. Sligo   Tithe Defaulters survives.

Link for Tithe Applotments.  There are some Lydens (possibly a variation of Layden?) in Co Sligo.
