Hi all
The last time i posted looking for help i received great info which turned out correct so here i am again, i have exhausted all avenues looking for these 2 who have vanished after the 1911 census:
Ethel May Sugars born 1893 & John Edward Sugars born 1891 in Colne, Lancs to Henry Thomas & Ann Elizabeth (nee Reygate)
Their mother, sibling Lizzie and ancestors all suffered from huntingtons disease and all died in asylums but i can find nothing on these 2.
Can anyone suggest where i look?
I am a member of Ancestry and others but all searches have lead me nowhere.
Thanks.

The mum is Elizabeth on 1901, and the son Edward. (as per baptism)
-
Elizabeth died in 1909, she was known as 'Lizzie' and appears as Lizzie on the death cert.
Edward and Ethel have just vanised.

Deaths Sep 1926

Possible?
Marriage
Oct/Nov/Dec 1931
Headington
3a 2753
Ethel M Sugars / Alfred T Barrett
Different area of the country, and she would be 37 - but possible

I have yes
who is the informant?
-
Neither of those 2
-
Can you tell us who it is, in case it provides a lead?
Also, does the other sibling (Edith Catherine, presumably the mother of young John William) marry? If so, who are the witnesses at her marriage?
-
Sorry yes, 'J W Sugars' marked down as 'son' however this was his grandson as the 1911 census shows, he was the son of Edith Catherine Sugars, unknown father.

Maybe not - according to Oxfordshire Family History Society's transcription, this was Ethel May SUGAR (note - no 'S') age 21, a spinster from Annanford, Carnarvon. Her father was William, a grocer, and she married Alfred at Littlemore Parish Church on 10 October 1931.
