Title: Magherafelt: Church of Ireland Parish Registers, 1718-1845
Post by: AussieLad on Thursday 03 August 17 11:03 BST (UK)
'THE LIST of CHURCH OF IRELAND PARISH REGISTERS' accessed via the url https://www.ireland.anglican.org/cmsfiles/pdf/AboutUs/library/registers/ParishRegisters/PARISHREGISTERS.pdf suggests that the Magherafelt Parish Registers for the period 1718-1845 are held currently by the parish.

Can anyone contributing to this forum confirm the above and tell me who the person is that one should contact to gain access to the register.

Thanks in anticipation!

Barry

This seems to be about Presbyterian records rather than Church of Ireland  :-\

If the records are in local custody then here's the link for St. Swithin's-

Unfortunately their own website is down at the moment-

However, I found this link-

In addition to the originals, there is a copy of these records in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. A personal visit is required to view them, but they are free to view.
