Query answered many thanks for all your help.

The only death registration that I can see that comes close is:
Richard Hefferman March 1895 Chester 8a 920 age 55
Chester is about 40 miles south west of Wilmslow, both are in Cheshire.

Wilmslow is not in Chester but Cheshire :)

Thanks a million, delighted to finally locate grave.

Didn't find the grave, just the death registration, to make sure everyone was looking in the right place.

Apologies misunderstood - so the number you quoted is his death record not his grave number? I have his death cert and it seems clear we are talking about the same person alright. What I am after is to find where he is buried if at all possible.
On the 'Wilmslow is not in Chester but Cheshire' point taken, what I quoted came from an official document.

There is an newspaper report on the inquest into the death of Richard Heffernan or Hefferman:
Cheshire Observer 12 January 1895
states he was a Roman Catholic priest, who was found dead in his hotel room at Albion Hotel opposite the General Station. He had recently been officiating in different parts of Cheshire and Holyhead.
Might help finding his grave knowing he was a Catholic priest.

Many Thanks.

If he was buried in Wilmslow I would imagine it would be at the RC burial ground at the RC church. I imagine their records would be at Cheshire Record Office. If he is buried in Chester I would try the local cemetery or RC church in the city.
