Hi!
I am researching the Durrant side of my family.
My Great Grandmother Caroline Durrant was born in 1857 in Newington Surrey. Parents are Daniel and Elizabeth Durrant. I can find Daniel and Elizabeth living with Daniel's Mum Sophia. Also living with them is their daughter Elizabeth born in 1851. But James born in 1853 and Caroline born 1857 plus Louisa born in 1860 are not registered with the family. I found James as a patient in St Thomas/St Giles Hospital Southwark but cannot find Caroline or Louisa. The family are at the end of a page but the family does not carry onto the next page.
Any suggestions as to where they are would be fantastic.

Try checking the numbering on the pages, or give a RG reference in full for someone on here to look at the referencing.
It's not unknown for one or other of the census providers to omit a couple of pages here & there.

The RG number is 9/335. The address is 213 Coles Place Newington Surrey.

There are no pages missing, the Durrants are Schedule 213, and the family on the next page are Schedule 214. RG 9; Piece: 335; Folio: 143; Page: 36

Perhaps they were staying with relatives? I have often found missing children with grandparents.

This appears to be the children in the 1871 census with what I assume is their grandmother?
RG10, Piece No. 599, Folio 16, Page 25
I wonder if what happened in the 1861 was that the enumerator got distracted and the rest of the family didn't get listed on the next page.

Thanks. I found them on the 1871 census. It is just 1861 where some are missing
