Title: Laptop Windows 10 Crash
Post by: gaygirl on Saturday 15 July 17 10:01 BST (UK)
My Toshiba laptop keeps crashing - think it is W10.    Is this easily fixed as it is very frustrating.

Thanks for any advice/

A bit more info required.
What happens when you switch it on ?
How old is your laptop ?
Are you attempting to install W10 or is it an update issue ?

If this is a new occurrence, I can say that my laptop also crashed, yesterday, for the first time ever, and I believe it is caused by the recent updates, which occurred this past week.

There was a blue box that said something to the effect that there was a problem encountered. Then it went into we are sending a report mode. It restarted, but was mega slow.

So, I shut it down and when rebooted this morn it is running as per usual.

My laptop is about 4 yrs old.  I have had Windows  10 installed since it first came out.

I have no trouble when I turn on the computer - it is about 10 mins of using it that it crashes and the screen goes black.

Yes, is it only recently that it has started happening?

When the screen goes black do you have to re boot ?
Is your laptop plugged in or are you running on battery power ?
If you think it may be an update issue put "windows update" into Cortana & select "check for updates" this should show if there's an update trying to download.

When I turn the  computer back on it asks if I want to restart or restore.

I am using the computer with the battery but plug it back to power and it seems to stay on then.

So a battery issue then.
Is it getting hot ? it may be shutting down for that reason.
