Is anyone going to Caernarvon Record Office who could do a quick look up for me please? My 3x great grandmother MARIA LAWLESS died on 18 Mar 1897 at the Red Lion Inn, Bangor and I KNOW she is buried in Bangor Cemetery (I have visited the grave there). All I need please is the burial date. I would be very grateful if someone could check it for me as I live in the South of England and can't get there. Thanks.

Have you tried ringing the cemetary office or the records office? As you know her exact deat date they should be able to tell you her burial date
-
I have tried the Record Office, but they wanted to charge £15, which I can't justify for a date. I hadn't thought of the Cemetery Office. Would that be in Bangor?
-
By the way I am more than happy to reciprocate if anyone needs a look up in Hampshire Record office, Portsmouth, or West Sussex Record office.
-
£15 is a bit steep just to look up a date. Did they know you had the death date and the cemetary?
I can only find a phone number for Bangor Crem at Llandegai Rd so perhaps there isn't an office at the cemetary itself
-
Yes I gave them the date and cemetery name. >:(
I could try the Crem - at least they may be able to point me in the right direction.
-
Are there 2 cemetaries - Glanadda and Llandegai
-
duplicate
-
I don't know the area so I'm not sure about that. I know it's in Caernarfon Road, Bangor.
-
That's the address for Glanadda
-
Thanks. I'll call the Crem later.
-
It's the Crematorium you need. Phone No. is 01248 370500.
-
SOLVED, thank you all. I phoned the Crem, and not only did they give me her burial date, but told me there were 2 other children buried with her that I didn't know about (the burials not the children!). Thank you all for your help.

That was a very productive phone call🤗

It was! Very helpful staff.
