I'm going round in circles trying to find the parents, especially mother of George Stringer b1913 in Keighley who married Edna Cherry in 1937. I'm thinking his father was also a George Stringer b1892 who married a Mary ? b1895. but need to confirm before I can continue. Can anyone in Keighley area do a look up for me please. it would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance

Perhaps you are referring to the marriage of George Stringer to Mary H Robson, Sep qtr 1920 Keighley?

To look up a marriage you would need to know where it took place; CofE church would be the parish register but anywhere else you would probably need to buy of copy of the certificate, certainly if it was in a Register Office as those records are not available to view.
It is probably best to start with a copy of George and Edna's certificate and work back from the details on that.

This George and the other Stringer/Man(n)ion children whose births were registered in Keighley district from 1914 onwards are likely to be the children of James Stringer and Rose A Manion [sic], married in Keighley district Dec qtr 1913.
In case these turn out to be your people, their death registrations appear to be as follows:
James Stringer aged 49, Dec qtr 1938 Keighley 9a 263
Rose A Stringer aged 72, Sep qtr 1961 Worth Valley 2c 44

Thank you all for your replies. This is why Im going around in circles with it. Knowing which is right one. I think the George Stringer b1917, (mannion)whose father is James who m Rose Mannion. I think James is uncle to my George b 13 Dec 1913, reg in 1914. My George is on 1939 FindMyPast records (transcribed as Spinner) married to Edna who later remarried. I dont really want to have to send for marriage cert unless I have to.
I really need to confirm father on marriage cert and work from there.

I think you should look again at the 1939 Register to check George's birthdate. A free index search suggests it is 1916 not 1913 (and indexed as Springer rather than Spinner).

Thank you. Ive looked at the original and it does say 1916, sorry. I`m going to have to look at all this again

Thank you so much. It looks like James if the father not George as I thought. So Rose is the mother. At least its the same Stringer family, so luckily not too much time wasted
