I am trying to find details about a building in Heath & Reach called The Old Malting. it was along The Woburn Road, from what i can gather it was divided in to two cottages which my ancesters occupied both during the late 1800s, they was the Stone Family which had lived in Heath & Reach for many years (and still do), I would like to find the exact location as well as photos, plans & history. can anyone please help?
Kind Regards,
Gordon.

Hi Gordon
I could be wrong, but is this the place you are looking for: photo included. It says
it's in Buckinghamshire though.

I went to school in the 1920s and remember The Old Maltings as being up a short lane almost opposite the Red Lion in Woburn Road. I'm not sure if the Red Lion still exists but, going in the direction of Woburn, it was on the left just before Reach Lane joins Woburn Road. I think the Old Maltings was burnt down in the early 1930s.
Hope this helps

Hi Roy,
Thank You for your message, I have been trying to find details on the Old Malting for 5 years with no luck, the Red Lion was knocked down several years ago & is now flats, opposite the Red Lion is a garage which has been there for as long as I can remember.
Thanks Again,
Gordon.
