Please is anyone able to look up the following marriage in the Parish register 24th May 1801 at Kingswinford, Stafford
The IGI has the wife's maiden name the same as that of her husband. It is possible, but not likely.
Jesse Silvers to Eleanor
Thank you so much for your help, and any other details you might find.

Hi Charley,
Sorry I've not replied before but it's some time since I was online. I have microfiches of the marriage register for Kingswinford and your relations marriage is there, and yes the wife's maiden name is given as Silvers.
Jesse Silvers, o.t.p. to Eleanor Silvers, o.t.p. by banns. 24th May, 1801.
Witnesses, Joseph Silvers, Richard Willetts and Elizabeth Green.
Hope this is of some help.

Hi Maureen
Would it be possible for you to look up my relatives Robert Churchill and Anne Mason or Marsh, who married in Kingswinford on 2 April 1804? I would like to know Anne's maiden name, and any other info there may be. Thank you very much,
Ruperta

Hi Ruperta,
2nd April, 1804. Richard Churchill, o.t.p. and Ann Mason o.t.p. by banns.
Witness Mary Lewellen, Richard Willetts and James Vickers.
I think Richard Willetts was the vicar as his name appears on nearly all the notices.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Maureen.

Thanks very much Maureen for the Silvers marriage - I suspect they might have been cousins then. Does it give the ages for them please as I have found births for 2 Eleanor Silvers , I think she may have been 17 years old. Joseph was father of Jesse but I wonder who the father of Eleanor was? I'm very grateful to you, Charley

Hi Charley,
The only info on the register fiches is names of bride and groom and the witnesses. I too, wish there was more detail as I have come to a brick wall with my family at this point as there seems to be many, many Dudleys in the town at that time. I know my 3 x gt. grandparents were married in 1797, they are on the register, but who were his parents and hers? enquiring minds need to know!!.
Good luck in your search. Maureen.
