I have been happy with this printer/scanner/copier for several years but have run into a problem trying to print today, after not using the printer for a few days.
With a Word document of two pages open, and selecting PRINT from the menu, I get another menu on the left side of the screen, as usual. Clicking on the top PRINT button now leads me into FAX options, which I have never used or wanted.
I cannot remember seeing it before but below the usual PRINT button there is now a small square with an image of the printer, a white tick in a green circle, and 'Fax ready'.
I have seldom failed to get help from our RootsChat communitty, and hope someone can point out where I am going wrong.

If the HP is anything like my Brother multi-function machine it will have created two "printers", the printer itself and the fax "printer".
It may be that you have inadvertently changed the default to the fax "printer". If that is the case all you need do is change it back to the real one.

I too had a problem with my Printer which didn't seem to working as normal.
I went online and went through various tips.
I did find one what worked , switch off at the Main Wall Socket then unplug all that is connected
to the Printer that also goes for any plugs that are part of the Printer.
And then Re plug and switch on.I also found this worked for my Photo Printer as well.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to you both for advice. By luck I came across a very small arrow symbol on the 'print' menu which somehow gave me an option of printer or fax. One click and the fax option cleared.
Sorry to have bothered you, but my lack of skill worries me!
