I am searching for the Ross Family from Killough Co Down
my Great Grandparents:
Samuel Ross married Eliza Curoe in Bright Church Of Ireland Killough
Eliza was born circa 1847 died 1891
they had children as follows:
Susan Ross 1882-1954 she married John Morgan from Bonecastle Downpatrick
Robert James Ross 1874- who Married Jane Dunseath-Dunlop
William Ross 1878-
Samuel Ross jnr 1881-
I can't find anymore information on the Family.

The ulster Historical Foundation has on its website ancestryireland a marriage worth investigating at first sight however
ROSS SAMUEL m 1873 father Robert Down but it doesn’t have a match for Curoe

One reference for a Ross family tree, is in the Blackwood Family History manuscript trees Collection in the LinenHall library, Belfast. Hi Edenreaghbeg, I'm also researching the Curoe family, mine are from Killough Co Down. You have a Eliza married to a Arthur Morgan, are you sure about that, as I can only find a Eliza Curoe married to a Samuel Ross in 1873, although her name was spelt Currie.RosDavies site also states that it is a Samuel Ross she married, Her fathers was a Patrick. My Curoe's were mariner's William, born abt 1834 his father was a William too and also a mariner. Wish you all the luck in your search.

Unfortunately I have been unable to track Sarah and Samuel jnr after these dates
I have found details for Robert James who married Jane Dunseath Dunlop from Crossgar
Jane had Married Dunseath who, died she then married Robert James and they had three children
Annie, Isobel and Robert John.
