HI, Anybody can help me to find the above birth to make sure who are the parents ?
or find his wedding certificate, apparently he did get married in Birmingham on 14/10/1873
with Josephine, Anne Palmer.
He died in France on 22/02/1900 in Brest.
Thanks in advance for your help
Kind regards
Didier

Have you tried rootsireland.com - this is a subscription site unfortunately & you can't pay per view but you can take out a day's subs. If he was Roman Ctholic there are parish registers to browse, by parish not indexed, at http://registers.nli.ie/

If I have the right Fred he is on the 1861 census with parents James and Elizabeth. His birthplace is given as Cork.
Registration district is Bridgwater
Parish Number 1625
Enumeration District 90
Page 1
He is listed with siblings James, Thomas and George. Fred's birth year is given as 1852.
His dad James is a supervisor of Inland Revenue

I think this is the parents marriage
Marriages Sep 1839
NORTH Elizabeth Newark 15 706
SQUIRES James Newark 15 706

I think Girl Guide has the correct Frederick in 1861.
If that is the case his mother is Elizabeth nee North - he had a brother James North Squires b 1841 in Stamford like their father James. Parents ma in Newark 1838.
There are other children born in Ireland George, Emma and Mary J -(don't know what the Irish connection is) as they lived in the Aston Birmingham area in many of the census.
Elizabeth appears to have died in Aston in 1871 and James went on to marry his housekeeper Alice Hardy.
Ma Cert would give father's name for sure and if it is James you will then be able to check if the above details are for the right Frederick.
Best of luck

...
Father's occupation would explain why the family lived in Ireland for a while-

Just to say I looked at the free index on rootsireland.com - no Frederick Squires. Nothing in irishgenealogy.ie church records. SO no record of baptism found & 1852 is too early for civil registration in Ireland see https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/irish-records-what-is-available/civil-records.
