Title: More Moreys of Peru
Post by: philipsearching on Thursday 08 June 17 00:29 BST (UK)
These people are Adolfo Morey, Peruvian rubber baron and randy rooster, and his long-suffering wife Estefania Babilonia.  The image was sent to me by a cousin and fellow Morey researcher who had it passed to him by a relative who took a quick snap of two photos.  Hmmmm.  The tilted photos mean the image is distorted.

Could some kind Rootschatter with more skill than me (well - that includes nearly everyone!) straighten the image?  And maybe just a little gentle cleaning up - as little as possible, just getting rid of the spots and stains?  The B/W and sepia tones are perfect, so please don't change them.

As always, a thousand thanks for all help.

The credit for this version goes to Jim1 for his straightened and cleaned up restore. Using his restore (he's OK with this), I've added a couple of refinements: frame, tone balance between the 2 photos, cleaning the remaining noise, etc. It's always nice if someone else (in this case Jim1) does the hard work ;). The refinements are not really necessary but just a way for me to learn more about Photoshop.

Attached are two versions of MOREY Adolfo and Estef (Jim&Mike):
- Black & White
- Sepia

I am not too bad at spot removal on old photos, but I am not good at faces and I have no clue about how to stretch an angled image to get it square.  So these pictures were way beyond my limited ability.

Once again, you wonderful, talented and generous people have produced stunning results.

Thank you all so very much!

Philip
