Hi again :)
We can t give details of the 1939 register but using the free search it would appear that the above William Booth was in Stalybridge, possible wife Annie and possible son Alfred born 1916.

I have no idea how I have stumbled across this post but yes, he was my great grand father.

I was told that many of the family emigrated to Australia. Who is it that is trying to trace our family’s details?

Hi Leanned0712

I am doing some research for a friend of mine Stephen B born 1960's in Salford Lancashire, England. His parents wer Eric and Margaret Booth (nee Carroll ). They migrated to Australia in May of 1965. Eric's father was William Booth born ( 1916 died 1981 ) and Marian Wassell born 1913.

Eric's Grandfather was William Booth born 1984 and died and died 1958. Possibly married a Margaret Booth ( not sure wether they were distantly related or not) on the 12 August 1914 at St Marys Church Bury, Lancashire. This would make this  William Booth my friends GG Grandfather also.

Looking foward to hearing back from you.

If you have the details (registration district or parish) of William Junior's birth it would help to establish his mother's name.

Re my Message I have more information on my Ancestry Tree for my friend that I did not deliberately post.  My message was aimed at Leanned0712 giving her basic information to try and proof a connection. Any details I posted I did have permission to post.

I am also unsure what it means by duplicating posts.
