Cheers heywood.
So as you know St. Michan's marriages on NLI only go to 1884 and the marriage doesn't seem to be registered so no Civil cert, it looks like you need St.Michan's marriages after 1884 and they don't appear to be on line anywhere.

So it looks like a dead end. ..why would the marriage not be registered, I thought all marriages had to be post 1864?

All marriages should be but it seems some were missed quite often.

From what I have found some priests, who acted also as registrars hence only one ceremony in Ireland, did not always register all of their civil records. Sometimes that coincides with a change in priest in a parish. I have found several church marriages that are not on the civil register

In case you had not come across this record
It is not referred to in the other topic
William CARROLL and Mary Anne BENSON had a son Thomas Christopher on Jun 02 1913 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1913/01453/1593653.pdf) #31

Maybe Rootsireland would be worth a try. I seem to remember that St Michans & St Pauls are a bit 'mixed up' and Rootsireland are the only ones that have St Pauls records - and William Jnr does give his birth as Parish Of St Pauls according to the other thread.
