Title: IWM sound collection
Post by: 47813 on Monday 08 May 17 00:58 BST (UK)
Hi,

Do hope this is in the right place on the forum. Apologies if not.

I am interested in listening to some of the 'oral history' parts of the Imperial War Museum's sound collection.

However when I click on any one of them it says 'Error loading player: No playable sources found'

If it says there is a player, then that suggests you can listen online. Also it doesn't expressly say you can't listen online.

Is there a way? - I've tried accessing on different devices but just get the same message.

Thanks

Jonathan

Bit beyond my software knowledge but if you search for the audio collection, then click on an item, it brings up a box with options Purchase and License or Share and Re-use.   Each option then gives a whole lot of guidance that appears to me (a bear of very little brain) to lead to the ability to hear stuff.
Whether all this works I don't know but you might like to try this until someone who really knows happens along!

I have just tried it on an interview done by IWM of a family friend who served at the Somme which I have listened to before and I am getting the same message as you  ::)

Good morning,

Not 100% sure but it may mean it can't find anywhere to put it on your device.

I get a similar thing on my tablet when it tells me I need adobe flashplayer for something.
