Hello.
Any information regarding what became of Doris after she married Alphonsus Apsley Parker in 1925 would be appreciated. She appears on two electoral rolls in Caulfield, Melbourne then there is nothing. Her parents were James Allamby and Jane (Moss) Allamby.
A member of this Forum ,Raspy appeared about 10 years ago saying he is Alphonsus' grandson. I cannot pm. Raspy as I am new to Forum. Fingers crossed he still keeps an interest in the Forum.
Regards Tassel.

Hi Essie. Thanks for the reply. Doris Martha had a sister called Elva May Allamby who married William Bond Pavey. You have really thrown a spanner in the works because Dorothy Marie (Allanby) Pavey is a name new to me. Elva May (Allamby) Pavey was born in 1913 Reg#15333 but you would have to be correct. A lot of name changing went on. I don't know I missed that and how you were so quick. Big thanks. Now as for Doris Martha Allamby.... where's Raspy when you need him.
Thanks Bumble B.

Essie. Doris Parker married Clifford Bruce Perry. Reg #2441. I am going to try and follow through the Doris Parker marriages if possible. Just went down list of marriages and large as life.. Dorothy Mary Westlake Parker married Arthur Charles Needs in 1929. Reg #7900. Has to be her. Doris Martha Parker does not appear after 1927 Electoral roll. Impressive Essie. Thankyou. Lesson i have learnt is to take more time when reading list after list of endless names. I should have seen Dorothy Mary Westlake Parker.

Hi there.
Can I ask why you think this is not the person you are looking for when it is the correct
parents names?

Hi Raylen. Bear in mind i am new here and can be thick as a plank on a good day. Elva May Allamby married William Bond Pavey Reg# 20387 in 1940. Before that she was married to George William Grace Reg.#12630in 1933.
There is no B/C for Dorothy Marie Allamby. I have never seen that name before today and I seen a lot of Allamby, Allenby, Allanby research. When I reread raspy's comments I should have noted the Westlake part as this is used by raspy and does occur in Alphonsus D/C Reg #17531, hence Dorothy Mary Westlake Parker. Not sure that makes logic to only me.

Raylen. Still trying to get head around what you said. Tassel.

Essie.
Apology. You were correct Doris Parker did marry Clifford Bruce Pavey in 1934. Vic BDM has both Clifford Bruce Perry as well as Clifford Bruce Pavey.
As Raylen says Clifford Bruce Pavey b. 1911 is buried with Dorothy M. Pavey d.1974, at Fawkner Cemetery. This Dorothy M. Pavey is the daughter of James Allanby and Jane Moss.
William Bond Pavey b. 1907 is Clifford's brother. So William Bond Pavey did marry Elva May Allamby
and Clifford married Dorothy M. who is Doris Martha (Allamby) Parker and changed her name like Essie put forth. And now it seems straight forward even though you have led me by the nose to get there. Plus you have done my head in as a newby. regards Tassel.
Essie. How did you come up with Dorothy Marie Pavey when i did not mention a Pavey.

Tassel,
Glad we could help to eventually sort this out for you.

You can search Victorian BDM using parents names only by clicking on the "show more search options" on this page.

Hi Tassel
RE...Essie. How did you come up with Dorothy Marie Pavey when I did not mention a Pavey.
Simply searched death records using just the mother's name. Also checked sibling birth records to see if there was a Dorothy but of course there wasn't. I was not surprised with the name change as my g.g.grandmother was named Dorothea but known as Doris.

Hello, Just came across this forum. Dorothy, (Doris) Martha (Marie) Pavey, Parker, D'Elton nee Allamby married my great grandfather Alphonsus Apsley Westalke Parker. There are records stating she deserted the first marriage to Alfred Ernest D'Elton Jnr and had a son William John D'Elton 1919. She then married my Great grandfather Alphonso Apsley Westlake Parker in 1925 and adopted a girl Jean McPherson from mother Jessie Louisa McPherson in 1926. She then deserted this marriage and name changed to Dorothy Pavey. Her sister Elva May Allamby married George William Grace and they had a daughter Barbara Jean Grace in 1934. Elva also deserted her husband and left the child and William Pavey. In my research both sisters deserted marriages and married a Pavey. Both daughters have Jean in there middle name. Doris is a mystery in our family as we know she married my great grandfather to adopt our grandmother then left the marriage shortly after. We would love to solve this mystery x
