Joseph William Hill (or maybe William Hill) born 1841. Hornsey, London.
Did he marry Sarah Hart 8th Dec 1862 or was it (Sarah Dordoy 8th Dec 1862 as shown on a marriage cert).
I've researched Ancestry and it shows he married both at the same time?
Then it shows he married Sarah Dordoy in 1877.

Thanks Rosie,
I have been getting my info from public trees on Ancestry.
I'll read all that has been posted here as well....confusing.

I have been getting my info from public trees on Ancestry.
They can be very unreliable. All it takes is for one person to just "grab" a name that fits, with no evidence to back it up, and then lots of people copy it!
Best to do your own research, looking at original images. Start with what you know for sure and work back one step at a time, confirming each step from as many different sources as you go.

Read what I posted carefully. I have added all sources and backed up the info I posted :)

I have seen some of the information on these public tree's and would strongly advise you not to copy any information from them ...As Lizdb posted best to check yourself by viewing certificates etc
