Do you have a question re these people?
Or are you just offering information? :-\
-
Should have explained. Sorry.
I'm trying to find information about them, before they came to Australia.
Tried familysearch.org etc., library, taslinc without much luck. They're all family ancestors, and I just
thought somebody else might know of them, or be searching too.
-
For John Wilson, of Edinburgh, you will need ScotlandsPeople.gov.uk.
It's a pay-per-view site, though?!
For the Fagan Brothers - you don't mention where and when they were born?
For Irish records, take a look at www.irishgenealogy.ie
You really need a separate topic for each of these?
-
Thanks for yr. response.
Not keen on pay-for-view sites for such a common name as Wilson, John.
Only have an approx. dob for Patrick, possibly Westmeath.
Didn't separate them because - they all migrated to Australia and became part of a family, and maybe others are searching for them too.
Will check irishgenealogy.ie
Thanks again.

Unfortunately, Scottish records are only available on ScotlandsPeople!
You have to buy credits, and then pay for looking at records.
There are experts on RootsChat who specialise in things like Scottish records, Irish records etc.
Putting an appropriate topic, in a relevant section of the forum, will generate more replies.

Hi Trish,
Thank you sooo much for the information. I've searched and searched for years, to find anything
at all via family search.org, but have never found these census records. I knew about the "Wanata", and the infant "0" was born on the voyage to Australia, was named John Wanata Wilson.
Now I have an address for the family, (and yes he was a blacksmith), a younger brother, and
a sister as well, that I knew nothing about.
Thank you for your very kind effort. It's another link to hand on to my family.
Greetings from Oz.
