Title: Birth lookup please
Post by: brads on Monday 27 March 17 20:43 BST (UK)
Good evening,

Is there anybody who can please help me locate a birth record?  The details I have are Bert Sharpe born 13 August 1891 in St Johns Newfoundland Canada, mother Margaret Sharpe (I have got this information from WW1 army records, I sent for the full set). I have previously had some information on this person many years ago on these boards but have still not been able to locate a birth record.

Many thanks Brads

No need to start a new topic- have a read through some of your old ones (you can always add to an existing thread).

Advice about Newfoundland records etc. were posted here for you back in 2011-

Also an earlier thread (7 pages)-

Here is a link to the main website for Newfoundland records. It is free to use. I think you will be looking for a baptism in the time you are looking at.

This appears to be the gravestone of this Bert....birth date and place match.

And the related marriage...image of transcription in earlier thread.

Added: Service Newfoundland (link below) indicates births prior to 1892 can be accessed through the archives, which is the first link above.
