Hi, I am trying to track down the cemetary that this guy Thomas Drakely was buried in, his death record says he died in 1899 Greenwich. in 1891 census he and his wife and family were living in Terracotto cottages Erith.Kent. he was a Blacksmith there. I have been on the site deceased online which gives all of the cemetaries around Greenwich and when I put his name and year number in it comes back with no records found. I know that in 1918 his wife was buried in Charlton Cemetary.Erith Kent seems to come up time and again, would not know the cemetaries in Erith Kent and dont seem to be able to find death records online that would be for churches in Erith. I dont know where else to look seeing as his death record states Greenwich I would have though that he would have been buried inone of the Greenwich cemetaries but no that does not seem to be the case. a mystery.
would any kind person have access to death records for churches in Erith at all please.
regards, June.

I'm assuming you haven't purchased his death certificate :-\ I think you need to obtain that in the first instance, as it will give you a date of death and an address.
I cannot see a death registration for Thomas Drakely in 1899 on FreeBMD. OK, so his surname is Drakley - March quarter 1899. :)

Just because his death was registered in Greenwich doesn't mean he was buried there, he may have died in hospital there and his body taken elsewhere for burial. I'm also not sure that Deceased Online has records of all burials as I have some relatives with known graves but they are not on there.
As BumbleBee says, the death certificate will help, as once you have an exact date you can contact places such as Greenwich Cemeteries and ask them to search their records.

If the family followed the usual tradition ,his wife was probable buried in his grave, so there is a good chance he is interred at Charlton Cemetary.
