Where would anyone who lived and died in Kilmarnock in Feb 1820 be buried in that town?

thanks Bert

Bert: There are 4 in Kilmarnock but Loudon and Riccarton are also possibilities. I have a book of pre-1855 MIs for Kilmarnock & District. If you advise the name(s) you are interested in, I will gladly take a look.

While there must be a good chance that the person is buried in Kilmarnock, it is possible that they are buried elsewhere. If he or his parents had come to settle in Kilmarnock from another parish, they might have been taken back there to be buried in a family lair.

Are there any burial records available? I am looking for an ancestor who died about 1838 but I don't think they could have afforded a headstone.
