Title: How do I add research interests?

Hello. Brand new, so pardon my inability. I promise to get smarter every day. How do I add that line that everyone else has? I'd like to include research interests with my posts, but don't see where I add that.

Welcome to Rootschat RedRinglets.

On the dark strip at the top of the screen, click on Profile, then Modify profile, then Forum profile, you will see a box Surname Interests, enter the information you want to display and save.

I have the same problem but the solution does not seem to work. the only options I get on "Modify Profile" are Account Settings and Ignore Topics Options. Where can I find the Forum Profile page?

I think you may have to have made three or more posts before this wil work, just reply to this a couple of times and then try again, any brief reply will do

Have you not read the HELP section and FAQS? Always the first place to look when joining a new website, all the guidence is there.

Yes. I spent over two hours searching Help and FAQs. The guidance said nothing about needing to have made three posts before it would work. Similarly, your advice to redringlets on 2 March 2017 did not mention it either. Clearly, I was aware of this advice as it is in this string, but the Forum Profile option was just not there until I had made the extra posts. The very helpful response from Mazi solved the problem.

I too looked at the help pages without success, it is done to prevent spammers and others who may have ulterior motives, there would be no point in telling them how to get round it on the help pages.
