On the 1841 census there is a Jeremiah Howse (approx age 55) with wife Sarah (approx age 60) and son Willliam. William was born in Worcestershire, but the other two were not. I am wondering if they came from Oxfordshire.
I think this Jeremiah was born around 1782. I have found a burial in 1850 of a 68-year old named Jeremiah Howse whose death was registered in Shipston on Stour Worcestershire (where my Howse family lived)
Could anybody please help by looking for either a birth or a marriage of Jeremiah. Thank you.

Family Search have a Jeremiah House 1788 Berkshire and a male Howse 1783 Berkshire. Male House 1780 Herts
William was baptised 17.4.1816 per FS which gives a rough timescale for a marriage

The marriage is on Family Search - did you check there?
29.2.1808 St Giles Oxford - Sarah Allsop (Leap year marriage)

From OxFHS Marriage index - 1538-1837.
Jeremiah HOWSE married Sarah ALLSOP, 29 Feb 1808 @ Oxford St Giles. Both sojourners.
You may get more information from St Giles transcripts, if anyone has access to them.

Possible marriage for parents of Sarah ALLSOP, while I'm searching the index.
John ALLSOP(of Ox.St Peter), to Sarah PEARSE. 22 Feb 1771 @ Woodstock.

Thank you both. Yes it was the igi 1808 marriage in St Giles Oxford to Sarah Allsop that made me wonder if he came from Oxfordshire.
I've had a look at the parish record for that on ancestry - sadly no ages or parents' names on there, but there are a couple of witnesses who i could follow up on.
One day I will get these Howses cracked!
Thanks, again.
