Many thanks to FindMyPast for putting these transcripts online. It's a resource I would never have thought to look for. It's proved very useful at filling in details of life between baptisms, marriages and burials.
It seems rather greedy to want more but I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether the original registers have information than doesn't appear in the transcripts?
Also, does Northampton Record Office have registers from before 1774 or after 1846?
Fingers tightly crossed!

Hi Diana,
Not sure about after, but these start with Vol 6. There's another 5 volumes before, back to 1744. They've been transcribed, and are on the open shelves at the NRO.
There are a few details not transcribed - the hospital patron that referred patients to the hospital, whether they were in patients or out patients, and how long they'd been suffering their illness. But that's all.
The actual volumes are huge, and it can take a long time to find anything.

Hi Diana. :)
Alan Clarke has some already indexed on his web site here.

Looks like Alan's indexes have more info and are an excellent resource
available as a pdf and being added to by folk transcribing for him.

Just had a thought are these the records that were transcribed by Kay Collins that you mention
PrawnCocktail.

If they're the bound ones on the NRO shelves, then yes.
Wish FindMyPast had included those, they've got cause of admission on most of them!

Hi Sandy and PrawnCocktail
Thank you very much for the replies and added info, including the link, which I'll look at next. I'm really happy with what I've discovered so far - but always hoping for that little bit extra.

Thanks PrawnCocktail. Kay gave me copies years ago of some excel files which I have just found and although in-valuable to researchers they appear to list
FORENAME,SURNAME,PLACE,AGE,MONTH,YEAR.
