Title: Battaille family of London (hugonaut)
Post by: The Golding Line on Wednesday 22 February 17 14:21 GMT (UK)
I'm trying to trace the Battaille family from London.

Mary Ann Battaille married (1939) John Kearny a tailor from Ireland. They lived in shoreditch.

Mary Ann's father I think was called William Battaille. He may have been a silk Worker who lived at long alley. He had already died in 1939.

There appear to be 2 Mary Ann battaille's. One married a Thomas Pinckney.

The quatro series 51-52 for the hugonaut society lists Mary Ann Battaille and John Kearny.

I really stuck!

Any information would be greatly recieved.

I think you mean 1839 . According to the marriage register Mary Ann's father William was a groom .

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry I meant 1839 - wrong glasses!

Do you know who William was a servant for? And his wife's surname?

Are they hugonaut?

Where do they come from?

Any help very much appreciated
