I am also trying to locate a few Humphrey's from the Horne area

At present I think I have traced my Grandfather Alfred Humphrey to an address in Horne, with a father named James & a mother Jane

Alfred moved to Fetcham in Surrey where he died in about 1946 ish, but I have not been able to confirm this. He also had re-married at this point in time to my grandmother Mary Ann Hewlett who was born in Monmouthshire in 1887

Can you be of any help

If you can give me a starting reference (name/year of birth), I can have a look for some baptisms and marriages for you when I'm next down the Surrey History Centre.

I'm researching the Humphrey(s) from Godstone, and think there must be a link with those in Horne due to the close proximity.

Would love to hear from anyone.
