Title: wilson or tyson

Could anyone tell me why the name would be Andrew Wilson or Tyson? I am confused.
Baptism was in Ennerdale Cumberland England

Almost certainly he was the illegitimate son of Hannah TYSON, but Andrew WILSON was named as his father. Unless that couple married at some later time, it's likely that he lived his life as TYSON.

Thank you for that. I was just confused as have never been able to find any record of Andrews birth. Will start searching again now under Hannah's name!!

Thank you for your reply. I have since found out that the register of St Mary's church in ennerdale
does state the fact that Hannah and Andrew were unwed at the time they baptized their son Andrew.
I now need to know whether or not Hannah and Andrew ever married. Appreciate your reply
