Hi, looking for info on Rebecca Railey b 1862 living in Morfa, Carnarvon 1880 when she married Henry Attewell. Their son Emanuel was my grandfather who told me his grandmother was a scamp i thought maybe related to Riley Scamp but i can't find the paper trail.
 her father was Thomas Railey mother Sarah Ann Railey.

Who was Riley Scamp and where does he fit into your FH?

3 deaths for that name on freebmd all in Thanet

1894 aged 26
1899 aged 79
1927 aged 78

Where was Rebecca born?

The 1871 has a Rebecca Bailey born Uxbridge 1859 - parents Thomas & Sarah.  Image is Bailey - not Railey

Can't find an 1871 entry for a Rebecca Railey

1891 has a Rebecca Attwell - married - born 1862 Chester who is a prisoner in Walton Gaol

1901 has her born 1860 Chester and again in Walton Gaol

Thanks Claire - doesn't seem to be any obvious connection to this family at this stage

We need more info about Rebecca & Henry - birthplaces for both and birthyear for Henry.

Names, birthyears, birthplaces for children

I can't see any entry on the 1881/1891/1901

Hi yes they are Travellers in 1901 address 2 caravans 283, Cardiff Road, Aberdare, Emanuel 17 b Lampeter

Hi its beginning to look like Rebecca dad was a Riley scamp and his mother Sarah Boswell. But still not sure.

Hi, i have found some cousin DNA matches on ancestry from Sarah Boswells sister Rebecca Boswell also several scamp cousin matches which i will research when i get time.
   
 Thomas Scamp   Baptism Date 08 Apr 1821 Clevedon, Somerset, England ,                              Father   William Riley Scamp  born 1793.
Thomas and Sarah named Rebecca after her sister and probably used the names riley/railey/rhylay the last in the 1881 census if any one can add to this please do.
